CryptoKitties is a game centered around breedable, collectible, and oh-so-adorable creatures we call CryptoKitties! Each cat is one-of-a-kind and 100% owned by you; it cannot be replicated, taken away, or destroyed.
Gameplay
There are almost as many ways to play CryptoKitties as there are Kitties to collect – that’s part of the fun. Here we put together four player types as examples of a few different ways you can approach CryptoKitties.
The Kitty Collector: The Collector loves every cat, no matter how weird, wild, or wonky. They’re in it purely to amass a huge Kitty family.
The Breeder: The Breeder is a brilliant geneticist. They study their cats’ genomes and experiment with different breeding pairings to create the most unique, rare, and, of course, adorable CryptoKitties.
The Trader: The Trader has mastered the marketplace. They constantly buy and sell the most in-demand Kitties, always making Offers, closing deals, and snatching up the most prized felines on the marketplace.
Fancy Chaser: Oh, you Fancy, huh? The Fancy Chaser adores special artwork and the thrill of being first to discover new Fancies. They lead the charge during every community Fancy Chase to solve puzzles that unlock the secret recipe of our most exciting cats. They’ve bred every Purrstige trait and are always among the first to discover them.
Play-to-earn Mechanics
- Breed Kitties: You can breed your own kitties together or breed them with a public Sire. Breeding kitties from the same generation is recommended to produce lower-generation kitties, which are more valuable.
- Sell or Sire Kitties: Once you have produced new breeds of CryptoKitties, you can put them up for sale or offer them for Siring. Each kitty in a litter has "Sell" and "Breed" options. Clicking "Sell" creates an auction, allowing you to set the starting price, ending price, and auction duration. Clicking "Breed" allows you to create a Siring auction, where other players can pay a fee to breed their Dames with your Sire.
- Collect Fancy Kittens: If you're interested in unique artwork and styles, focus on collecting Fancy kittens. You can either breed them or search for them in the marketplace. Once you have acquired.
- Lease Kitties: When you lease your cat, other players can pay you a fee to breed their own cat, known as the Dame, with your cat, known as the Sire.
